Excel Facts

Spell Check in Excel
Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)
With
A1: a date

This regular formula returns the Fiscal Month Number of that date
Code:
B1: =MONTH(EDATE(A1,7))

Does that help?

I have a similar request, except I need the date to convert into a YYYYMM format. For our company 7/1/2013 = 201401; 6/30/2014 = 201412.

This is a really old thread...I think next time, you should start a new thread (and reference any olds that are pertinent )
Meanwhile:
Does this help?
=TEXT(EDATE(A1,6),"YYYYMM")

Hi Ron,

That's elegant in its simplicity and powerful in its effectiveness. It works perfectly. Thanks also for the tip on old posts.
