Is there a way to have a spreadsheet automatically refresh or update?

Excel Facts

Copy PDF to Excel
Select data in PDF. Paste to Microsoft Word. Copy from Word and paste to Excel.
If you mean Calculate. Have a look at the Tools | Options... menu command's Calculation tab.

No ... sorry not the calculate option. That occurs only on a cell value change and what I was looking for was to update a date automatcally .... like a real time clock. The spreadsheet goes out and grabs data on a date change and I don't want to be here every day to update it. Please help me go on vacation!

the formula
=TODAY()
placed in a cell will return today's date.
Are you looking to do that?

I use the formula TODAY() in the calculation but the problem is that unless the spreadsheet is opened or the filed refreshed the date stays the same. I don't know how to automate the refreshing of the date field.

I would like to leave the sheet just sit there, go to the next day, update the day and go and get the new data ... without me touching a thing.

Hope someone can help ....
