Does anyone know how to have excel calculate colors in cells?

Would you please provide more detail or restate your request? Are you trying to perform a calculation on cells which have a background color, font color, etc?

the cells have no numeric values to them. The back ground is colored w/ colors. Need to have a total show up at the bottom of the column to that for example says ....red =3, blue=5... etc..... I hope this is much clearer. This is something that has really stumped me.... Thanks

Why wouldn't you enter the values 3, 5, etc.?

Now days i try to NOT sent posters to others site no other reason than i wil soon have my own, but in this case worth a look see
