I had a print macro attached to a file i roll-over for each month. I didn't like the macro and therefore deleted it. The problem is that Excel still asks if I want to open the file with macros enabled or disabled.

Is there any way to completely remove the footprint of a macro in an excel file? Thanks for your help.

Hit Alt-F11 to get to the VB Editor window. Likely, you deleted the code, but the empty module is still there. Right-click and remove it. Do not export it (you won't want to).

    Thanks,

I had removed the module and that stopped the macro message, but I wanted to make sure that all traces of the macro were removed. Thanks again for your help.
