I have been developing a spreadsheet project for the past two months. I have made backups of the original workbook regularly. However, over the past 2 days I have made major changes and developments. Now, I try to open the file, it goes through the motions of opening it, gets to about 75 percent then quits. Is there a way to open the file in safe mode (or similar) so I may view the VBA to make sure there is no bad scripting.
The last time I accessed it was about an hour and a half ago (with no problems).
I have tried opening with other versions of Excel...no good.
I have linked to the workbook. the links work, so I know the data is there.
I have rebooted.
I have lost half of my hair....
PLEASE HELP!!!!

Thank you,
Mike

100 percent certain. Thanks though. I know when I am insane it can be very easy to overlook something like that.

Excel Facts

Easy bullets in Excel
If you have a numeric keypad, press Alt+7 on numeric keypad to type a bullet in Excel.
OK, I have just gone to MS's support site and found an article that kinda reflects my problem. The workbook is password protected and as such, Excel assumes that since I know the password, it comes from a trusted source. Therefore, not asking to disable macros.
Is there any other way to open it, given my circumstances with the macros disabled?

Have you tried holding down the shift key, worked for me. From the open dialog in excel, hold down the shift key, double-click your file, and continue holding the shift key until the file has completed opening. I think this will work.

Or if holding the SHIFT key while opening doesn't work, you can stop macros while they're executing by smacking CTRL + Pause/Break.

HTH

EDIT:: PS, Can you post the link to the MS knowledge base that told you about being a trusted source because you know the password?
