Hello all,

Is is possible to change the 'direction' the focus goes when the Enter key is pressed?
Instead of going down a row in the same column, I would like to go over a column in the same row (as if I pressed the Tab button).
Ultimately, I would like to be able to press Enter and move over, press Enter and move down. (Start at A1, enter moves focus to B1, enter moves focus to A2, enter moves focus to B2, etc.)
Thoughts?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
Go to tools/options/edit and theres a box that gives you the chioce of which way the cursor moves when you press enter.

Hope this helps- Todd

There are two options I can see:

Option 1:
As maxflia suggests, record a macro to change the direction, and include in it the selection of the range (if constant) that you want to enter to. That way, the Enter will move it from A1 to B1 to A2 to B2, etc., until it gets to the end of the selected range.
Don't forget to do a before-closing macro to re-set the direction.

Option 2:
Lay your monitor down on it's left side.
