Can't see column headers

I have trouble selecting column headers (A,B,C, etc) because I have two lines in one cell so the Formula Bar hides the column headers. Is there any way to avoid this?

Copy PDF to Excel
Select data in PDF. Paste to Microsoft Word. Copy from Word and paste to Excel.
Sort by date Sort by votes
Using the Tools | Options... menu command uncheck "Show Formula bar" on the View tab, and check "Edit directly in cell" on the Edit tab.
