Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
Just to make sure:

If i refer to another sheet and that cell has a formula giving me an answer of 100. when i paste it to another worksheet and just want to click on the cell have the number 100 in it with no formula, this should work.

sorry i am a little slow today

Copy then Edit | Paste Special... Values will overlay these formulas with their resultant values.See the Excel Help Index topic for "Replace a formula with its calculated value".

You could also edit the cell properties and select to hide the formulas and then protect the sheet. That way the cell would always update, you just couldn't tell that there is a formula there.
