hello evetyone,

I have a strange problem with excel 2000
when i try to save a workbook i get the message : document not saved and i can not save any changes. I tried to save it with another filename but does the same.
The strange thing is that the same workbook works fine on another pc.
can anyone help !!!

Excel Facts

Easy bullets in Excel
If you have a numeric keypad, press Alt+7 on numeric keypad to type a bullet in Excel.
Could you copy all the content out and paste it in a brand new file? If you can, do that. It's safer than continuing to use a file that might have been corrupted.

Hey all,

I actually think that gbarclay2001 was probably on the right track - have you tried a basic select all sheets/move or copy sheet (copy) to a new workbook? If that saves then you can just copy any VBA over and your set.

Hello there

I want to thank everyone of you for your replies. You are very kind.
I searched for the problem in the microsoft knowledge base and it was very unhelpful.
it seems that this problem is known a long ago and noone knows why is happening.
I will follow your advice and copy everything including vba into a new sheet.

thanks a lot
:)

It is a network issue. It has to do with a hiccup in the network. That is why someone else can open and use no problem. Somewhere you got your connetion disconneted. The only way around this is what is mentioned above.
