Hi! I import data each month into spreadsheets. I would like to set up each monthly spreadsheet so that if a name changed from last month's spreadsheet it gets shaded a certain color. I tried conditional formating but it won't let me refer to another .xls file, and I'm a novice with macros. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Last used cell?
Press Ctrl+End to move to what Excel thinks is the last used cell.
Nevermind, I figured it out, I don't think it's the best solution, but I made a column at the end that put a "*" if there was a change, and then used conditional formating based on that column. If anyone knows a better solution, please let me know, otherwise thanks anyways.
