There is a lot of material out there on how to do that. But, how do I prove to the employee that he/she is getting what they are suppose to be paid? Our time clock is 60 minutes while the input software to be paid runs on a 100 minute clock.

Thank you!

I enter 7.59 munutes, which converts to 7:35

Are you saying that when you have 7.59, the integer (7) is the hours and the decimal (.59) is minutes 0 to 59 ? If yes...

You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK

Ok here's my question, this works, but how do I prove that 2.24 hours is the same as 2.40 hours?
10 * 2.24 is 21.83 and 2.40 * 10 is 24.00. This does a great job with the conversion.
But, I still need to explain to someone from Mexico that went to the 3rd grade that he is paid the same using either clock.

If I divide 18 by 60 I get .3 and if I divide 30 by 100 I also get .3

We are getting closer. Thank you for taking your time to do this I am very grateful.

I don't follow what you are doing with the three "60 minute Clock" columns. Two columns are labeled the same.

If I divide 18 by 60 I get .3 and if I divide 30 by 100 I also get .3
I don't understand what these numbers mean.

But, I still need to explain to someone from Mexico that went to the 3rd grade that he is paid the same using either clock.
I don't speak Spanish. So I can't help you there. Also, after all this, I really don't understand what you want. Sorry. The term "100 minute clock" is confusing. I don't know what that means. I'm guessing a Mexican may not as well.

but how do I prove that 2.24 hours is the same as 2.40 hours?

If the .24 is 24 minutes. Then show that 24 minutes / 60 minutes = .4 hours. Use labels. If you had used time labels in this thread, it would have been hugely helpful in understanding your questions.

They are not the same, of course, except by the system your company has invented for what seems little purpose other than to confuse. You don't have a 100-minute clock, you have a 60-minute clock, like everyone else, that you choose to represent in an obscure way.

Why not just record 2 hours and 24 minutes as 2:24, and then you don't have to explain anything to anyone, and the Mexican with the third-grade education doesn't need to explain to you how to record time.

I decided after all this is to see if the clock can be changed to 100 minutes. The conversation works well, I am really grateful for that. Thanks guys but I think we have to put this one to bed.

My very best to some very smart guys!
