Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.

=HYPERLINK(Data!A1,"Data")

entered in some cell in a worksheet, different from Data, which is the name of the worksheet of interest you want to hyperlink.

Or just choose Insert -Hyperlink from the menu, select your file in the top box (leave empty if it's within the same spreadsheet) and select the location within the file in the bottom box.

if you want the HTML to hyperlink to a specific sheet in Excel : go to the sheet and name cell A1 "linktohere" or something appropriate...

then the HTML command will be

{A HREF="filename.xls#linktohere"}description{/A}

it follows the same basic logic as anchoring to another HTML document
