All,

We receive 2 files which need to reconciled. Both the files have common headers with details of trades that need reconciliation.

Trade date, Price , Type, Expiry Date, Qty, and Commission needs to be reconciled between 2 source files. Some time the qty of a particular trade is split into many lines in the first file against only 1 line in the second file or vice versa.

I am looking for a macro or a formula which can help with this.

Details in File 1
Trade Date Quantity Trade Number
01-Jan-2000 25 100200300
01-Jan-2000 25 100200300
01-Jan-2000 25 100200300
01-Jan-2000 25 100200300

Details in File 2

Trade Date Quantity Trade Number
01-Jan-2000 100 100200300

50% of the reconciliation is straight forward and the macro is working fine for this. However we want to increase the effieciency of the macro to 80% and trade files will contain any where between 600 to 800 records.

Appreciate help in this regard.

Thanks,
Pradeep
