I need to keep a worksheet protected to protect the formulas, but need to be able to insert pictures. I have the cells unlocked where the pictures are to be inserted. With the sheet protected the option is not available to insert pictures from file. What does it take to work around this?

Thanks

Scott

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
VBA, even then it's not really a workaround.

Your macro would unprotect the sheet, add the picture, then protect the sheet again.
