=VLOOKUP(A2,Sheet2!$A$2:$B$1000,2,0)

What does the "2" and the "0" at the end of this formula mean? I have seen board members mention changing these last 2 numbers to suite your individual needs but, i don't know what these numbers do.

Please advise.

Thx,
Noir

Spell Check in Excel
Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)
The 2 in the formula is the column number in the lookup table you wish to return data from. The 2 means the 2nd column. The 0 is short for FALSE. A 1 would be the same as TRUE. When FALSE is chosen, Excel only returns a value when an EXACT match is found.

Beat me to it Lenze. Unhelpfully, the online Excel help does not explain that 0 can be typed instead of FALSE as the range_lookup.
