    Hi again Yogi,

    Cell F7 "0.03"

Cell J7 is returning the #DIV/0!

    Any thoughts

    Hi James:
    What is in cell C7
    What is in cell J7
and are you sure cell H7=G7/C7

Now James, you have to slow down and follow everything very closely ... Excel is very picky on details -- it does what you ask it to do -- unfortunately it does not do what you want it to do.

So please answer the questions I asked you and we will take it from there.

    Regards!

    Hi again Yogi,

Thanks for hanging in ther w/ me.

    C7 is 500
    J7 is =F7/H7-1
    H7 is G7/C7

The correct ans. in J7 is 175%
What i'm trying to accomplish is simply if
G7 is empty then J7 does not show the #DIV/0!

    Thats it

if g7 is empty than h7 will have a problem before j7 will!

    James: Change the formula to:

    =If((H7-1)<=0,0,F7/(H7-1))

and tell me if that helps.

    In H7 enter:

    =IF(C7,G7/C7,0)

    In J7 enter:

    =IF(H7,F7/H7-1,0)
