I have a list of times:
8:05
8:05
8:05
8:05
5:40

When I sum these it comes back with 14, but it should be 38.

Please help!

Excel Facts

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
Excel has calculated 38 but it shows the time formating being 38-24hrs = 14

If you have another cell which = then sum of your times *24 It will give you 38. Excel treats Times as a fraction of a day.

To see reformat your dates as numbers and they will all show as 0.33 approx.
