calling an event from a procedure

basically how??

if i have a useform with two command buttons on it, what code do i use to recognise that it has been pressed....

without using the sub buttons_click() type approach

Well, you would probably HAVE to use the Private Sub CommandButton1_Click() Event, but you could set a variables value once the button is clicked and have the other event check THAT value. I don't know why that would be neccesary, but I think it would work for you.
