I have a summary spreadsheet with links to underlying spreadsheets.

What is the best way to implement version control so that if any changes occur to the underlying sheets or the summary a new version /revision number is generated and the original (baselined) version is left intact.

Copy PDF to Excel
Select data in PDF. Paste to Microsoft Word. Copy from Word and paste to Excel.
I can't remember if Visual Source Safe handles Excel workbooks. If someone can confirm that it does, then I recommend Source Safe. (I got it with my Office 2000 Developer suite)
