I have created drop down list using the Data/Validation feature throughout my spreadsheet. When I try to input data manually into one of the cells, even if it is one of the valid data values, I get the "Invalid Data" Message. Can't this be fixed?

Excel Facts

Test for Multiple Conditions in IF?
Use AND(test, test, test, test) or OR(test, test, test, ...) as the logical_test argument of IF.
Can only enter data by selecting one of the items in the drop down list - when the cell is selected, the arrow appears in the right part of the cell. From here, select your choice.

nancyo, not sure that is right - you can input valid data manually. hbendillo, are you using the same case, upper or lower?

I'm not sure if you're validating numbers or text. One thing I've noticed with data validation of text is that, if you list the valid items in the Source box in the data validation window, the valid entries are case sensitive. If you use a cell or range reference in the box, the valid entries are not case sensitive.
