This is probably a rather stupid question:

Can you have "custom" message box buttons?
I currently have a message box that has choices of Yes or No. I would like them to say Open or Close.

Or, if not at all possible, just let me know...

Thanks!

Excel Facts

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().

Not completely sure on this, but I think you'll need to create a Userform instead of using a message box. The message box button choices are listed in the help for MsgBox

The following are your options for buttons in the msgbox

OK
OK/Cancel
Abort/Retry/Ignore
Yes/No
Yes/No/Cancel
Retry/Cancel

You can also have other options like, special icons...critical, question, exclamation, information.

I don't have vba help installed on excel at work, which is where I'm working on this.

Would a userform be worth it? I only use the message box at the very beginning and that's it (choose 1, I'm done with it and don't ever see it again).

If you MUST have the msgbox say OPEN or CLOSE
the you would have to use a Userform with
these buttons on.
