We currently have approximately 5000 spreadsheets that exist on multiple servers and are interlinked. The links utilize the unc naming convention (//servername/share/) and the spreadsheets may be located on different servers. We are consolidating servers and need to know the best way to make the changes without having to go into each one manually if at all possible. These spreadsheets are in Excel 97. Also, is there a better way to accomplish what the linking is doing without using unc links, something that is more portable?
