I have successfully made 13 macros in a Workbook. At present, unless if have the Workbook on screen, or minimised, I can`t use them in other very similar workbooks. (I use these for recording teaching records.) Is there any way I can edit the macros so they are available in all workbooks without getting involved in Visual Basic ?

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
re: security questions preventing using Personal Macro Workbook

Thankyou very much for these useful links. I managed to link some of my workbooks to the Personal Macro File but not all. I keep getting dire warnings about security. I have tried their TRUSTED SOURCES Menu and just clicked on those involving User Start Up but the macros only work in some work books. Do I HAVE to have the source workbook open before the link works ? The awkward files do have the Open in All Workbooks link open.
