    Default Date backward question

I have been asked to set up an Excel chart for our local cemetery as a free favor for a friend.
A lot of the stones have a date died but no date born but they do have the
    years, months, days lived.
Can something be set up to work a date backwards?
    Example - Died - 7-10-1879 (this could also go from 1700 to 1800 or 1800 to 1900 or 1900 to 2000)
    Lived 23 Y, 4 M, 1 D

This would work back to (I think) 3-9-1853 date of birth.

We will have two Excel sheets, one with the plot layout (I am doing stone by stone location)
    and the other one
being a register having the last & first name, Date born (this the part I don't have when they just have the lived data on the stone) and I need your help with., Date died and any other data that was on the stone.

    Thank you for your help.

    That was odd.

I did not think it would have been asked either.
He must have been doing the same thing I am.

    Thank you for your help.

Michael M - Thank you for your reply.
I tried the formula and I am doing something wrong and I don't know what it is.
Can you tell me what I am messing up.

    -------B2-------------C2--------------D2---------------E2----------------F2-----------
    ----Born-------------Died-----------Years------------Months-----------Days---------
    -------------------7-10-1879-------23----------------4------------------1-----------

In cell B2 I have the following formula
    XDATE(xdateYEAR(C2)-D2,xdateMONTH(C2)-E2,xdateDAY(C2)-F2)

    Thank you for your help.

Check to see if it is in your Addins list.
If you have 2007 or higher, there will be a menu tab, and you can also check by going to the home button.
Select addins, and see if it one of the active addins

Michael M - Thank you for your reply.

I looked at the Add-Ins section and XDate does not show up.
I downloaded again and it put the file into
    C:\Program Files (x86)\xdate

    Is that the correct place?

    Thjank you for your help.
