I have a book that gives the commands
Insert / Macro / Dialog, for V5
which is supposed to enable the editing of a custom dialog box, already containing the OK and cancel buttons. You are then supposed to be able to add other items like drop down boxes, edit boxed ect...

does anyone know how to do this in XL97

Hi,

Sounds like you're talking about userforms. Go to 'Creating Userforms' in the Excel VBA help, or there's an excellent example to get you going on the front page of MrExcel.com, at the very bottom of the screen under 'VBA Macros - Examples', first one in the list.

Hope this helps,

Nibbs
