I know this isn't an excel question, but when I hold my mouse over certain things while browsing or working with other programs a yellow box appears and gives me info on what I'm hovering over. How do I turn this feature off. P.S. I have XP
Thanks

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
I assume you're talking about tool tips.

I know there was a way to turn them off with TweakUI, but other than that, I don't think you can turn them off.
