This problem has almost got me in tears!

I need to find a formula to work out the answer to the following:

Reckonable Service - 10 years 337 Days by Pensionable Salary - £18967.44 by

1/80th

i have spent weeks on this trawled the Www bought books and I am now going mental.
M

PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP ME TO FIND THE FORMULA?

Excel Facts

Convert text numbers to real numbers
Select a column containing text numbers. Press Alt+D E F to quickly convert text to numbers. Faster than "Convert to Number"
Can you give an example of what the input and the results should be?

Does this sound too simplistic ??
337/365= 0.923 + 10 = (10.923 *18967.44)/80= 2589.835
I image any specific pension would also other criteria for calculation !!

337 Days , as fraction of year = 337/365 = .923 Years, Plus 10 Years = 10.923 Years ??
