Novell Directory structure affecting Excel Spreadsheets

We have a user who has a directory structure containing 13 subfolders from the root directory. New folders are added and any spreadsheets created within these become corrupt within a few days. The user was able to email them as attachments and when returned could access them again, she is no longer able to do this. Any assistance would be gratefully received.

Save files over lan on what part of server, just as the desktop see drive Jack that might be big SCSI drive that split to many users.

so we need to know are these files REALLY saved to root or just root on their partittion?

try open on another PC that has rights to that partition and open, see if it will, or IT dept will need to help trans the excel file to nominated drive sapace.

wont email are you sending the file or dir + file..

try zip the file, if that fails zip and password the zip and send

some ideas, let me know who you get on..
