Please be patient,I'm obviously a beginner, I managed to multiply a cell x.03937, but how do I use the same formula for heaps of cells?
I think it's the way I'm multiplying.
Thanks in advance.

How to show all formulas in Excel?
Press Ctrl+` to show all formulas. Press it again to toggle back to numbers. The grave accent is often under the tilde on US keyboards.

See that's how much of a beginner I am, I was just putting *.03937 in another cell and then telling the cell I want to multiply.

that should be okay :

=A1*.03937 would work fine

1) hit "="
2) click your mouse on cell A1
3) hit "*"
4) key in ".03937"
5) hit enter

to repeat this logic for other cells, goto the cell with this new formula, hit "CNTRL" and "C" (this copies) then goto to your new destination cell and hit "CNTRL" and "V" (this pastes)

goto another new cell and hit "CNTRL" and "V" (this pastes)..... repeating for new cells as needed

If your formula is needed in a range of cells which are all next to each other (contiguous) then just "drag" it down as follows :

hovver your mouse over the cell with the formula in it..... move the mouse so it sits over the bottom right corner : your cursor should change to a black "+" sign

left click and drag down/up/over as needed

Hope this helps
Chris
