Hi Pivot Table Geru(s)
Help please! Can anyone tell how to further summarise pivot table data where each row already has sub data, and there are many lines with similar titles as sub sections, so that the Pivot table can summarise all rows commencing with say "Census", to give 4 or 5 main topics to make the table more visually acceptable? Can queries be set against initial Pivot Table results to summarise the data further still? Many thanks

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
You could used getpivot to extract data to the column beside the pivot. Then make a new pivot of the original pivot & the new column(s). Is it not possible to do it before the pivot table is created?

Thank you. That thought was very helpful and I now realise it is a better solution to organise the data better before making the pivot chart. Many thanks
