does any 1 no how 2 put a password on an Excel file so that it requires a password to open it.

When you go to File/Save As look for an options window (earlier office versions have an "options" button there, later ones you might have to go to Tools/General Options)

save as
name the file and click tools options and input as reqd
thats XP

Excel 2000 save as and go to proprtys and 97 the same i think

you name the save as file and set PW
