I've been searching the forum for a way to cut the first 3 digits from each cell in a column, and then to paste these 3 digits to a new cell/column.

It's got to be easy! :)

Spell Check in Excel
Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)

No need for a macro. Try using "Text to Columns". Select your column of data, select Data (from the main menu), select TextToColumns, specify fixed width and click next, click at position number 3 (creates a line break) and click next, select your formatting and click finished.

Does this help you out?

Regards,
