Where can I check that the trial versions and regular versions of Excel add-in's, which are advertised on the internet, will not damage Excel and the other programs on my computer? More specifically, the add-in's for advanced statistical analysis.

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
Are these Microsoft add-ins or just add-ins created by other people/companies? If it's not MS, truthfully there's probably no real way to test them, only by reputation I guess.

Hi Mark O'Brien:
When did we make a switch from Ohio to Scotland? If we would have known earlier we would have thrown a cyber-party or some thing like that.

By the way I also see the design change in your MrExcel username as well.

With best Wishes!

These Excel add-ins are by people and companies (not Excel).

I suppose I'll have to resort to the advanced science of hope. Thanks.
