I know you can use =MOD(ROW(),2)=0 for Alternating row colors, but is there away to add and if statement to it to only alternate the row colors if there is something in column B? I tried =If(B:B>””,MOD(ROW(),2)=0) but that did not work. Thanks

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.

I assume that you're using Conditional Formatting on a selected row. Use a cell reference to the column B cell on that row. For example, =AND(NOT(ISBLANK($B2)),NOT(MOD(ROW(),2)))
