Hi everyone

I am new member, although I have previously used solutions/advice/hints posted in the Forum. I have done a search and haven't found any posts regarding multiple data validation for a cell (don't even know if it is possible), except for validation based on different lists.

I wantwould like to ask if it is possible to double check a cell, meaning: check if a neighboring cell is empty, if yes then no typing is allowd (pop-up message 1 appears); if not then take values from a specified list (allow-list-cell range, otherwise pop-up message 2 appears).

Maybe it is possible to do something like that with VB, but ideally i would like to avoid it.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
Yes this is possible I just hope the below you understand

the below is based on A1 having no data and you try to place data into B1 (error Shows)

1</SPAN>
Select cell B1</SPAN>
2</SPAN>
Select Data on the ribbon</SPAN>
3</SPAN>
on the 4th section select data validation ( you probably know this already as you mentioned)</SPAN>
4</SPAN>
Allow select custom from the dropdown</SPAN>
5</SPAN>
in formula place =IF(A1="",0,1)</SPAN>
6</SPAN>
untick ignore blank</SPAN>
7</SPAN>
then click ok</SPAN>

<TBODY>
</TBODY>
