Does anyone know if you can link a excel workbook to a .dat file? I need to import data from impact Encore to get Accounts Payable sorted by due date alone

if I can do that, is there a way to link to this type of file using a data query that will automatically refresh every time I open the file?

go to Menu ->Data ->Get external Data->
Import Text File

You can set up the import delimiters

and then every time you open it set automatic refresh
