fill down

Hey Everyone , hopefully someone can help me out with this

i have a lot of data in a table format . with a person name in the first cell of the table

i would like to fill the person name down to complete the table

so in the example below , it would fill peter jones down until cell A9 . How do i count say column B and then autofill down into Column A9


Any help would be great

If you highlight the name Peter Jones (Cell A1) and double click on the bottom right hand side of the cell it should auto fill to the last filled row of the next column (Down to the I in column B which is A9)

Hey there , thanks for your response

That seems to work ok

the only problem is that i have a lot of sheets with data , i was hoping to build it into a macro , but using that way , it referenences cells in the Macro.


Is there a way of doing this so it will always fill down ad can be built into a macro
