Is it possible to convert a birthdate (1927-06-26) in this format and make it the age of the person? Hopeful for an good answer???I've tried all I know to do...

Excel Facts

Pivot Table Drill Down
Double-click any number in a pivot table to create a new report showing all detail rows that make up that number
This is a little crude, but it may get you close enough to what you need:

With the original date (1927-06-26) in, say cell A1, you can use:

=today()-A1

to get the total number of ~days~ old the person is (you have to format this as a numerical value). If you then divide this by 365:

=(today()-A1)/365

, you get the total number of ~whole~ years old the person is....leap years are a bit trickier, and I'm not sure how to account for those :wink:

Hope that helps.
