Pivot Table Update Event

Hello,

I am using the below code to run a macro in my workbook. My goal is to have the macro run once I change data in the report filter of my pivot table, the below VBA code works and runs my macro, but only at certain times. The issue is I paste the value into the function bar rather then the drop down of the pivot table report filter. When I do that, the pivot table doesn't sense an update and fails to kick off my macro.

Anyone know of a way to fix this?

Code:
Private Sub Worksheet_PivotTableUpdate(ByVal Target As PivotTable)
Application.Run "cleardin"
End Sub

Thanks!

Hi nflami,

Try using the PivotTableChangeSync event instead of the PivotTableUpdate event.

BTW instead of using Application.Run you can use:
Code:
Private Sub Worksheet_PivotTableChangeSync(ByVal Target As PivotTable)
   Call cleardin
End Sub
