this should be a really easy one but i can't figure it out. i have a scale with labels on x-axis going like this:
0% 5% 10% 20%
the question is - how do i remove 0% so the only tinng that shows is:
5% 10% 20%

thanks!!!

Excel Facts

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.

Hi,
I assume you use XY (Scatter) type of chart.
Also your X series is formatted as Percentage.
So what you have to do is double click on X scale on the chart.
In the "Format Axis box" choose Scale
Put 0.05 in the Minimum field
And your X scale will start at 5%

hi Eli,

it's weird, but i can't set the minimum on that scale for my chart (maybe it's the wrong type???) i only have 3 options:

Value (Y) axis crsses at category number (and possible range from 1 to 31999)

Number of categories between tick-mark labels

Number of categories between tick marks

there are also 3 check boxes at the bottom. i guess that's probably a wrong chart, but it looks fine - i just want to hide that 0 because it crosses Y axix in a really ugly manner. btw my chart type is Custom Types > Smooth Lines.

Thanks for any help!
