Hi All,

Thanks for checking this post, and thank you even more if you can help!

I've had a search and found nothing the same as what i need to know, apologies if this has already been asked.

I'm seriously stuck and in need of help,

I need to plot a heatmap of data based on geographical location, this needs to be done in Excel only, as it is to be a shared document.

I have my location coordinates set up to graph out the XY to the right scale perfectly, however, i need to add another variable into the mix, quantity.
I would like to format the markers to change colour from a scale of highest to lowest, failing that then the alternative is to change the marker size.

I have seen a 3D scatter graph, however this is unsuitable as it will hide a significant amount of data as the columns grow.

Any help with this would be massively appreciated.

Excel Facts

Create a Pivot Table on a Map
If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).

Perhaps a bubble chart might a suitable for this problem. It is like a scatter chart, but you can vary the size and colour of the markers (bubbles) point by point...

Thanks for the suggestion, however it would appear that I have too much data for a bubble chart.
any other suggestions?
