I am using excel a lot for data analysis with files 100MB+. Macros, VBA, etc. Currently dragging my system to a halt and am shopping for a new one.

Novice at hardware.
Recommendations? Brand, RAM, processor, etc.....

LAPTOP: Two scenario's -- (1) weight is not an issue and (2) keep weight and size below ??? 5lbs?
PC: no limits, best possible.

thanks!!

Excel Facts

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
I am using a Microsoft Surface Pro, I was always very anti laptop but this little thing has blown my mind, it's an amazing device and I run all sort of massive sheets, Web scraping / Database hammering / number crunching VBA code.

If you get the docking station too you can run 2 monitors from it using a daisy chain cable, this is awesome because of have my email open on the device screen then my two larger monitors for Excel and the VBE :)
