I am having difficulty with a GETPIVOTDATA function in a workbook. I have set up the functions on my own PC, and they work fine, but when someone else tries to open the file on their own PC, 3 of the functions (out of 10 GETPIVOTDATA functions) change to #Ref errors. Can anyone tell me why??

Thnx in advance
Stuart

Excel Facts

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
Sorry to be so long in replying.

=GETPIVOTDATA('JBarrey Tables'!$A$65:$E$174,"Week 1 Value Disbursed HL") doesn't work.

=GETPIVOTDATA('JBarrey Tables'!$A$1:$J$58,"Week 1 Self") does work.

Thnx
Stuart

From the Help topic for GETPIVOTDATA...

GETPIVOTDATA(pivot_table,name)

"If the syntax of name does not describe a visible field, if name is omitted, or if name includes a page field that is not displayed, GETPIVOTDATA returns #REF!."

Are all of the fields for these items visible?

All fields are visible.

I have had further chance to look at this, and I am now even more confused.

I have been able to get all formulae to work, until I sort the table using the drop down field at the top of the table. When I change the name of the person whose sales details I am sorting, the formula result changes from a value to #Ref error. The only difference to the table is the initials at the top, and the formula does not change.

Let me know if more clarification is needed.

Thnx in advance
Stuart
