I have a large worksheet with various color schemes and I need to use the "find" feature extensively. The problem is that when my cursor is locked on a cell, it is very difficult to see where the cell is and I am wasting a lot of time trying to decipher where it is. Are there any workarounds here?

Thanks in advance!

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
One aid would be to glance at the Name box to the left of the formula editing box and it will show the cell's address.

One way (although I think there must be a better way), click the F5 key... when the dialog box appears, click the Special button and when the next dialog box appears, click the Cancel button. The active cell will now be visible even if multiple non-contiguous cells are currently selected.

another question on this: why is it that sometimes when I try to find a name, it does not find it? I am typing it as it is in the workbook. Is it a formatting issue?

Are you looking in Values?
When you invoke Find, do you have a multi-cell region selected? If so, it may be searching only the selected cells.
