tips for printing and viewing electronic copy

I want to print my excel worksheet with the least amount of space between the cells (but still be able to see seperation) and then also be able to see, in the electronic copy, the actual number (NOT the pound sign because the numbers won't fit in the cell). Is this possible? Is there some relationship between the GUI and what is printed? Is there a font that is better for printing and viewing?

Thanks,

Dave

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
Select all cells and apply autofit for columns:

Cells.Select
Seleaction.Columns.Autofit

Hi davers5:
In addition to what Corni suggested, you may also want to try print settings as follows:
1) adjust your column widths and font sizes so you can actually see the numbers and not the # signs
2) Then FILE|PAGE_SETUP|PAGE|choose the option FIT_TO say 1 page wide by 1 page tall or to suit your needs

Please post back if it works for you ... otherwise explain a little further and let us take it from there!
