I need a row count formula that will only count the cells with a value inside of them.

Unable to release any data to show information as this is work for Wakefield City Council and I'm unable to release it due to the Data Protection Act.

Many thanks,
Muffle

But surely it would not be hard to disguise a small amount of data or just make up some dummy data that demonstrates the issue.

You already have a few suggestions, I'll add one more.

Your thread title indicates the cells may contain formulas.
Post # 5 and other comments suggest that those formulas might return a number or a null string "", making the cell appear blank.
If all that happens to be true, then this might do

=COUNT($B$2:$B$35)

Edit: I hadn't seen the last few posts so some of my comments above are no longer relevant.

However, if that column is returning the results by formula, you will not want COUNTA as that will count the "empty" cells too. Try just COUNT as I've suggested here.

Excel Facts

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
