Hi SaTaNHeaD2003:

Welcome to MrExcel Board!

For the first one if you can use NumText function from the MoreFunc Add-in -- see the following ...

And for the second question I am not sure I have understood your requirement -- hoever look into FORMAT|Cells|Protection|Locked on a Protected worksheet!

thanx for the help.it works really great.Just one more question,i used 2 cells to seperate dollar and cents.

e.g A1=128 A2=58

How do make it to spell : One Hundred Twenty Eight and Fifty Eight Cent

can it be done? I used no decimal.

About the protect thing, it doesnt work.It protect entire sheet!!I'm using Office XP right now.

How about ...
y040630h1.xls
ABCD
1128
258OneHundredTwenty-EightFifty-EightCent
3
Sheet5

formula in cell C2 is ...
=PROPER(SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE(NUMTEXT(A1+A2/100,1),"dollars",""),"cents","cent"))

Would this do?

I inserted the MoreFunc add-ins, but still no NUMTEXT.Anyone?
I also do not see NumText listed as one of the available functions in my MoreFunc Add-in in my EXCEL 97, but I can use the function as you have seen in the illustration in my earlier posts in this thread -- so go ahead and try using the function even though it is not listed -- and tell us if it works for you.
