Vlookup Help

I have a spreadsheet with vlookups on it when i update the replace the data the vlookup formulas change to #refs is there a way to not update the vlookups till after the update? Any Ideas?

Highlight Duplicates
Home, Conditional Formatting, Highlight Cells, Duplicate records, OK to add pink formatting to any duplicates in selected range.
Try switching your calculation mode to manual. (tools->options->calculation, etc...)
