Hi, not sure if this can be done but will ask anyway, so I have a workbook (master) in a cell there is a formula that literally points to a cell in a daily planning sheet (daily) which is in a folder and every time the daily gets updated I have to manually edit the links to point to the new version of the file (Daily Plan 21.03.16.v4)

The previous versions cant be removed from this folder but wondered if there is any way in vba for excel to check the folder location, then update the link with the file that has got todays date followed by the highest version number such as c:\daily\daily plan 21.03.16.v4 (earlier link pointed to daily plan 21.03.16.v3)

Hope that makes sense
