Can some one help me with the code to extract data from Reuters or Bloomsberg into Excel using VBA?
A million thanks

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Depending on what you are doing, a web query can be a relatively easy matter or something quite complex.

See this article:

Web Queries and Dynamic Chart Data in Excel 2002

Also, read the comments in the following reference and download a free sample file (the file retrieves financial information from Yahoo).

Using Excel Web Queries to Retrieve Global Historical Data from the Internet

You could contact Reuters or Bloomsberg directly to determine whether they have a free “off-the-shelf” Excel macro. A long shot, but worth a try.

Tanya,

Recently on another Board, someone asked the same question as you in relation to Bloomberg. In answering the question, a Microsoft MVP advised that Bloomberg provide an XL Add-In which allows a person to query their data directly from Excel. The MVP suggested that the person navigate to the download section somewhere in Bloomberg’s Help section.

Regards,

Mike
